William Robert Scott

William Robert Scott (94) passed away Thursday, July 18, 2024 at Cornerstone Rehab and Healthcare Center in Corinth. He was born October 20, 1929 to the late Bolivar S. & Victoria Samples Scott. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from the Booneville School System after 25 years of service. He was a member of Parkers Chapel Baptist Church, however he attended Fairview Baptist Church for 19 years. His hobbies were fishing, doing yard work and he loved to mow his yard. He could cook fish like no other. He took great pride in his grandchildren.

Services are 1 pm Sunday, July 21, 2024 in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home with Bro. Roger Young and Bro. Carter Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Booneville Cemetery. Visitation will be 11-1 Sunday in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Frances Scott; his son, William Scott (Debbie) of Booneville; his grandchildren, Matthew Scott (Lisa) of Oxford, Victoria Scott Robinson (CJ) of Indian Harbor Beach, FL, Katie Conn (Will) of Booneville and Tyson Taylor (Misty) of Tupelo; his great-grandchildren, Nicholas Scott, Sawyer Richey and Mattie Magers Conn; his brother, Buford Scott (Dorothy) of Olive Branch; his sister, Rita Scott Wesson (Paul) of Mantachie; his sister-in-law, Virginia Chase; a special family, Cheryl Green & family and  a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his granddaughter, Leah Nicole Scott; his brothers, Otis, James O., Cebron and Hubert Scott and his sisters, Winnie Brown, Jean Williams and Ann Wooley; and his brother-in-law, James Chase.

Pallbearers are Matt Scott, Nicholas Scott, Tyson Taylor, Will Conn, Sawyer Richey and CJ Robinson.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church Tuesday Morning Meal Ministry.
