William D. "Don" Morris, Sr.

William D. "Don" Morris, Sr. (83) passed away Sunday, May 15, 2022 at Asbury Hospice House in Hattiesburg, MS. He was a Class of 1957 graduate of Wheeler High School. He was the District Supervisor for Deviney Construction for 53 years and still worked part time at the age of 83. He was a Mason and of Baptist faith. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Services are 4 pm Thursday, May 19, 2022 in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackland Cemtery. Visitation will be 3-4 pm Thursday in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home.

Don is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Edith Morris; his sons, William Donald Morris, Jr. and Samuel Trent Morris (Colleen); his grandchildren, Chelsey Payton Morris, William Donald Morris III (Trais) and Tanner Graham Morris (Anna Kae); his great-grandchildren, Owen Dodd Morris, Brenna Morris Cameron (Colin) and Dillon Jiles Morris (Rachel); his sisters, Rose Mary and Reesa and his sister-in-law, Beth Morris.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vance and Lorene Morris; his mother, Mary Edith Selkins and his brother, Steven Morris.

Pallbearers are Tanner Morris, Dillon Morris, Trais Morris, Keith Kelly, Kerry Kelly and Robbie Kelly.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
