Susan Paulette Dees Harris

Susan Paulette Dees Harris (53) gained her wings on September 4, 2023. She was born November 13, 1969. She battled MS for 30 years, but her independent and stubborn personality kept her going. She loved learning and was a sponge for knowledge. She took many college courses and worked part time at the Baldwyn Library for many years. She loved researching an doing family trees. She was always doing arts and crafts. She had a deep love for all children, especially her nieces, nephews and the children at the library. She cared for the children like they were her own. Her love for the Lord and going to church was always in her plans.

Services are 6 pm Wednesday, September 6, 2023 in the Baldwyn Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Wayne Bridges officiating. Burial will follow in the Baldwyn Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-6 pm Wednesday in the Baldwyn Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home.

Susan is survived by her father, Donnie Ray Dees; her sister, Sabrina C. Ramey (Roger); her brothers, Karrie Ray Dees (Sonya) and Steven Dees (Jennifer); her nieces and nephews, Dakota Dees (Lillian), Karlie Dees (Todd), Kassie Dees, Savannah Stricklen (Hunter), C.J. Courtright, Hunter Dees, Ethan Dees (Chloe) and Tiffany Dees and several great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Wanda Sue Dees; her grandparents, R.E. & Dorothy Shaw and Donald & Pauline Dees and her brother-in-law, Jason Courtright.

Pallbearers are Dakota Shaw Dees, CJ Courtright, Hunter Dees, Ethan Dees, Blake Dees and Hunter Stricklen.

Honorary pallbearers are the nurses and staff at Magnolia Place Assisted Living in New Albany.
