Shirley Harris Roper

Shirley Harris Roper (85) passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2024. She enjoyed writing, reading, doing word puzzles, watching westerns, listening to gospel music and spending time with her family.

Services are 1 pm Wednesday, April 3, 2024 in the Baldwyn Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home with Bro. Sammie Scott and Bro. Frank Cameron officiating. Burial will follow in the Pratts Community Cemetery. Visitation will be 11-1 Wednesday in the Baldwyn Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home.

Shirley is survived by her sons, Donald Roper of Guntown, Cleveland Roper of Guntown and Tony Roper of Guntown; her daughter, Cindy Scott (Sammie) of Guntown; her brother, Junior Harris of Saltillo; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David Arnold and Irene Harris; her husband Paul Roper; her sister, Betty McLarty; her brother, James Lamar Harris and her daughter-in-law, Lillie Roper.

Pallbearers are Philip Roper, Samuel Scott, Nathan Gunnels, Eli Roper, Malaki Pharr, Cody Roper, Shawn Kemp, Dalton Kemp, SJ Scott, Easton Warren, Danny Harris and David Harris.
