Sarah Jane Allen

Jane was born January 8, 1939 to WC (Shorty) and Mary Reed and died March 1, 2025 at Landmark Nursing and Rehab where she was under the care of VitalCaring Hospice.

Jane was first and foremost a Christian having worshipped and worked with the Booneville Church of Christ since the early 1960's. She taught 4th grade at Thrasher School for 30 years, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Before her health declined, she taught Bible classes at the jail, went on mission trips to South America, and told as many people as she could about Jesus.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Allen; her son, Trent Allen; her sister, Ann Stevens; and her in-laws, Gene and Lillian Allen, Raver Stevens, Charles Johnson, Peggy and Carl Bates.

She is survived by her children, Eddie Allen (Lisa) and Kim Williams (Ralph); her grandchildren, Misty Allen, Amanda Mitchell (Drew), Jennifer Pharr, Katie Bruce (Drew), John David Williams, and Alaina Allen; her great-grandchildren, Cooper, Houston, Elle, Owen, Nora Jane, Brooks and Annie Kate; her sister-in-law, Anita Johnson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services will be 4 pm Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at the Booneville Church of Christ. Burial will follow in the Gaston Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 pm Tuesday at the Booneville Church of Christ.

The family wishes to thank VitalCaring Group Hospice, The Landmark Community Assisted Living, and the Landmark Nursing and Rehab for the loving care shown to our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
