Sandra Ricks Criswell (82) left her earthly home for her heavenly home on Thursday, April 30, 2026. She was an active member of Wheeler Baptist Church. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all. She started her career being a secretary at ASCS. She later became an assistant teacher at Wheeler Attendance Center and owned/operated Sam's Restaurant alongside her husband, John Wayne. She ended her working career at Region IV Mental Health Services.
Sandra enjoyed shopping, watching game shows, and cooking, but nothing brought her more joy than her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Services are 2 pm Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Wheeler Baptist Church with Bro. Michael Shook and Bro. Mark Cagle officiating. Burial will follow in the Prentiss Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 12-2 Saturday at Wheeler Baptist Church.
Sandra is survived by her daughter, Rae Garner (Mack); her son, John Criswell (Jan); her grandchildren, Bronson Ganger (Nicole), Layken Peacock (Eric), Riley Criswell (Christy), John Mack Garner (Kaitlyn Hankins) and Reagan Christian (Logann); her beloved great grandchildren, Ricki Lynn & Mattie Jon Ganger, John Clark & Indie Criswell, Garner Peacock and Parks Christian, and her lifelong friend, Liz Kingsley.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, John Wayne Criswell; her parents, Leonard & Clara Ricks and her in-laws, John Ralph & Glenna Criswell.
Pallbearers are Bronson Ganger, Riley Criswell, John Mack Garner, Logann Christian, Steve Criswell, Jason Miller, Ted Ryan and Charles Ray Miller.
