Ruth Ticer (69) passed away Thursday, October 30, 2025 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Iuka. She was a faithful and proud member of Burnsville Church of Christ. She enjoyed keeping her yard up, tending to her puppies and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren whom proudly called her Granny or Gramma. She was a hard worker and was always willing to help others.
Services are 3 pm Sunday, November 2, 2025 at Burnsville Church of Christ with Bro. Ricky Jones and Bro. Gary Orick officiating. Burial will follow in the New Lebanon Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-3 pm Sunday at Burnsville Church of Christ.
Ruth is survived by her daughters, Bobbie Roberts (Phillip) of Baldwyn and Elizabeth Willis (Allen) of Burnsville; her brothers, Jerry Shook (Barbara) of Jumpertown and Stanley Shook of Booneville; her sister, Mary Ann Gattis of Booneville; her grandchildren, Austin Roberts (McKinsey), Zach Roberts (Mya), Wyatt Roberts, Matthew Willis, Madison Willis and Mason Willis; her great grandchildren, Bohen, Myla & Adalia Roberts and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Ticer; her daughter, Tracy Lynn Ticer; her parents, Herman & Mildred Shook; her special brother-in-law, Billy Joe Gattis; 3 brothers and 1 sister.
Pallbearers are Richard Shook, Peter Andrew Moore, Mark Shook, Lee Shook, John Burns and Nick Coyle.
