Rudolph Holland

Rudolph Holland (88) passed away Thursday, July 18, 2024 at Cornerstone Rehab and Healthcare Center. He was born on September 8, 1935 to the late Loyd and Harriet Bugg Holland. He was a member of Thrasher Baptist Church, where he taught bible classes for many years and loved worshiping with the community members. After high school, he served in the army and was stationed in Korea. He was employed at Brown Shoe and H&W Pipe Company. Rudolph was a very devoted St. Louis Cardinals fan.

Services are 12 pm Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Thrasher Baptist Church with Bro. Shane Evetts officiating. Burial will follow in the Magnolia Gardens. Visitation will be 10-12 Saturday at Thrasher Baptist Church.

Rudolph is survived by his nieces and nephews: Donald Hicks of Tuscumbia, AL, Doyle Grimes (Leta Kay) of Thrasher, MS, Debbie Walls (Roger) of Wenatchee, WA, Tim McCoy (Deborah) of Booneville, MS, Mark Wayne Matherly (Mary) of Chewelah, WA, Ann Sweet (Mike) of Spokane, WA, Conita Fader (Paul) of Luray, TN and Dee Whirley of Booneville, MS and a host of great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Bud Holland; his sisters, Sis Hicks, Martha Grimes, Erma Matherly and Alma McCoy; his nephew, Doug Holland; his niece, Drue Sutherland and his great nephews, Charley Grimes and James Lee Hicks.

Pallbearers are Jon Grimes, Shawn McCoy, Tony Christian, John Sutherland, Paul Fader and Roger Storey.
