Roy Cummings

Roy Cummings (71) passed away Saturday, January 3, 2026 at his home. He was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing dominoes and spending time with his family.

Services are 2 pm Wednesday, January 7, 2026 in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home with Bro. Chuck Boxx and Bro. Marty Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Sardis Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Tuesday, January 6, 2026 in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home.

Roy is survived by his loving wife, Virginia "Gin" Cummings; his daughter, Hope McCreary; his grandchildren, Olivia Settlemires (Brady), Aidan Settlemires and Elena Brownlee (Bonner); his sister, Shirley Henderson (Hafford); his brother, Jerry Cummings and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence & Kirksey Cummings; his sons, Brad & Wes Cummings; his grandson, Elliot Settlemires and his siblings, Billy Cummings, Harold Cummings, Jesse Cummings, Francis Essery and Mary Ella Herring.

Pallbearers are Justin Moore, Mark Moore, Jeff Cheek, David Huddleston, Jason Cummings, DJ Moore and Tony Pannell.
