Rosie Maxine Eaton

On February 8, 2024, at approximately 7:00 P.M., Rosie Maxine Eaton entered her heavenly home surrounded by loved ones that will miss her terribly. She has left a Christian legacy that will be remembered by her family and friends.

She was born March 11, 1929, to the late Frank and Mary Yates Baldwin. In her 94 years, she has lived through 15 presidents and the Great Depression. In the 1930's, she experienced a great dust storm known as the Dust Bowl. She also lived through WW2, Pearl Harbor, Vietnam and Iraq. As an only child, she worked in the cotton fields along side her parents. She met the love of her life, Bud Eaton, and they were married in 1948 just before she graduated from Jumpertown High School.

She was a faithful member of Jumpertown Methodist Church all her life. Her relationship with God was one of the most important aspects.

Maxine is survived by her son, Steve Eaton (Amy) of Booneville; her daughter, Frankie Lauderdale of Booneville; her grandsons, Craig Lauderdale (Tara) of Booneville, Blake Eaton (Julie) of Goodlettsville, TN and Rikkar Eaton of Booneville; her granddaughters, Rhonda Goodwin (Paul) of Booneville and Candice Ward (Brian) of Ripley; her great grandchildren, Maria Lauderdale, Austin Lauderdale, Landon Goodwin, Elyse Goodwin, Macy Lauderdale, Lola Grace Ward, Hayes Ward, Wilkes Eaton and Fielding Eaton; her great great granddaughter, Bella-Rose McCullar; her only remaining first cousin, Susie Yates and a host of nieces and nephews and their families.

She also leaves a special friend, Mrs. Jennie Tyes, who was her suite mate at Landmark.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Bud Eaton; her parents and an infant brother, George Franklin Baldwin.

Visitation for Mrs. Eaton will be Saturday, February 10, 2024, from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at Jumpertown Methodist Church, Booneville, MS. Visitation will continue Sunday, February 11, 2024, from 1:00 - 2:00 pm with the service at 2:00 pm in the church sanctuary. Services will be conducted by Bro. Jim Peterman, Bro. Ronnie Sweeney, and Rhonda Goodwin.

Pallbearers are Blake Eaton, Austin Lauderdale, Landon Goodwin, Hayes Ward, Charles Melvin Geno, Greg Geno, Matt Murphy, Derek Stevenson, and Raymond Vick.

Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Erik Dukes, members of the Jumpertown Methodist Adult Sunday School Class, Landmark residents and staff, James Hans, Robert Miller and nieces and nephews.

The burial will follow in the Jumpertown Cemetery in Jumpertown, MS.
