Ronald Jahu "Jay" McKinney (54) passed away Friday, May 3, 2024 in Talladega County, AL due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was a Mason and a member of New Covenant Family Worship Center. He enjoyed music, joking around, working on various projects and spending time with his friends, family, children and his grandchildren.
Services are 12 pm Friday, May 10, 2024 in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home with Bro. David Krech officiating. Burial will follow in the Lebanon Cemetery. Visitation will be 10-12 Friday in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home.
Jay is survived by his sons, Jansen McKinney (Ashlyn) of Florence, AL and Tristen McKinney (Kristina) of Florence, AL; his daughters, JaAnna McKinney of Booneville and Savannah McKinney of Booneville; his mother, Cherry Kennedy of Booneville; his father, Ronald McKinney of Tuscumbia, AL; his brother, Heath McKinney of Birmingham, AL; his sisters, Jody Stewart (Buddy) of Booneville and Brooke White (Brandon) of Lexington, AL; his grandchildren, Aubree McKinney, Carson McKinney, Kinsley Hyde and Denver McKinney and his partner, Amanda Blankenship and her children.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Memory Kennedy.
Pallbearers are Jansen McKinney, Tristen McKinney, Noah Wright, Nathan Blankenship, Matthew Smith, Travis Lowry, Sammy Henderson and Kenny Floyd.
