Rona Mathis

Rona Mathis (79) passed away Friday, April 12, 2024 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. She was a member of Liberty Church. She enjoyed gardening, doing crafts and socializing with others. She was rarely ever seen without a cup of coffee or a Dr. Pepper in her hand.

Services are 2 pm Monday, April 15, 2024 in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home with Bro. Kevin Hatfield and Bro. Tim Hankins officiating. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 12-2 pm Monday in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home.

Rona is survived by her sister, Lisa Huguley (Gooney); her nieces, Korina Dodson (Joseph) and Alexia Owens (Kevin); her great-nieces, Skylie & Emma Dodson and her great-nephews, Grady & Chet Owens.

She was preceded in death by her son whom she missed dearly, Chris Mathis; her parents, Roy & Avo Montgomery; her sister, Nancy Ashmore and her brother, Richard Montgomery.
