Rickey Dwight Johnson

Rickey Dwight Johnson (71) was born on April 21, 1954 and departed this life peacefully on July 20, 2025. He was the beloved pastor of Forked Oak Baptist Church for over 30 years. He also had a deep passion for being in the woods logging. During his younger years he enjoyed coon hunting and fishing.

Services will be 1 pm Thursday, July 24, 2025 at Forked Oak Baptist Church with Bro. Cale George and Bro. Gerald Glidewell officiating. Burial will follow in the Forked Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at Forked Oak Baptist Church.

Rickey is survived by his loving wife of 54 1/2 years, Belinda Kay Henson Johnson of Cairo; his son, Joshua Johnson of Cairo; his daughter, Amy Johnson of Snowdown; his grandsons, Kaden Arnold (Karlie) of Altitude and Brandon Blair of Houston, TX; his sister, Martha Moore of Columbus; his mother-in-law, Shirley Bryan; his son-in-law, Matt Arnold of Booneville and a host of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mick & Diane Floyd and Nonan Johnson; an infant son, Kevin Johnson; his brother, Vick Johnson and his daughter-in-law, April Johnson.

Pallbearers are Ronnie McCombs, Randy McCombs, Danny Smith, Kaden Arnold, Brandon Vuckovick and Matt Arnold.
