Richard Lee Day, Jr.

Richard Lee Day, Jr. (70) passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2025 in Birmingham, AL. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He enjoyed dealing with cars, working in the auto industry and spending time with his family. He was very patriotic and loved America.

Graveside services with military honors are 11 am Thursday, July 31, 2025 at Jumpertown Cemetery.

Richard is survived by his daughters, Regan Homer (Matt) of Oregon, Amberly Vanessa Day of Alabama and Christi Lynn Day (Victor) of Alabama; his brother, Daniel Day (Carol) of Texas and his grandchildren, Ethan Dunkin (Makaela), Jakob Homer and Nathan Day.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn Dianne Knight Day; his father, Richard Lee Day, Sr.; his mother, Brigge Bowen and his step-father, Spence Bowen.
