Richard Kenneth Downs

Richard Kenneth "Poppy" Downs (53) passed away Thursday, November 28, 2024 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was a member of Memphis 10 Racing. He worked at Lambert's Auto Salvage and also at Booneville Collision and Repair. He enjoyed working on cars, racing and spending time with his family.

Services are 1 pm Sunday, December 1, 2024 at the Vineyard Church with Bro. Tracy Arnold and Bro. Rex Bullock officiating. Burial will follow in the Piney Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Saturday, November 30, 2024 at the Vineyard Church.

Richard is survived by his wife, Sonya Willis Downs; his sons, Tyler Downs (Allie) and Dylan Downs (Cassidy); his daughter, Holly Malone (Bubba); his mother, Patsy Downs; his brother, Billy Downs (Denice) and his grandchildren, Maddie, Peyton, Delylah and Asher.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Downs and his grandparents, Frank & Vivian Davis and Alvis & Demple Downs.

Pallbearers are Tyler Downs, Dylan Downs, Billy Downs, Kerry Lambert, Jr. Burns, Brad "Bubba" Malone and John Tull.
