Richard Earl Norris

Richard Earl Norris (60) passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at his home in Booneville. He was a member of New Hope Primitive Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, studying history, watching racing & airplanes and he was a Bigfoot believer. He was also an avid "Married with Children" fan.

Services are 3 pm Friday, June 26, 2026 at Crossroads Full Gospel Church with Bro. Stanley Shook and Bro. Dean Bearden officiating. Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be 12-3 pm Friday at Crossroads Full Gospel Church.

Richard is survived by his wife of 26 years, Melissa Norris of Booneville; his sons, Matthew Norris (Emily) of Jumpertown, Blake Norris (Ashley) of Booneville and Tyler Gober (Kaitlin Smith) of Birmingham, AL; his daughters, Lisa Stevens (Jimmy) of Tupelo, Donna Bonds (Jonathan) of Kossuth and Megan Goddard (Blake Parkinson) of Booneville; his brothers, Bill Monoghan (Kathy), Gil Monoghan (Ann), Neil Monoghan (Rhonda) and Phil Monoghan, all of Tupelo; his grandchildren, Hellen Norris, Meredith Goddard, Shelby Goddard, Wesley Goddard, Colby Goddard, Zackery Goddard, Kayla Plunk, Austin Stevens (Kaylie), Abby Stevens, Chase Smith, Kaylee Musgrove, Kinsley Bonds and AnnaLeigh Bonds; his great grandchild, Whitley Stevens; his aunts & uncles, Bernice Palmer, Mittie & Hugh Green and David & Jettie Norris and his special friend, Charles Moore.

He was preceded in death by his parents, WT & Hellen Ruth Johnson Norris; his grandparents, Ernie Belle & Earl Johnson and Columbus & Melverta Norris; his uncles, Roy Allen Norris, Wallace Johnson, Monroe Richard Norris and Gene Norris and his aunts, Aileen Gattis and Annette Kindt.

Pallbearers are Charles Bronson, Daniel Bowling, John Tate, Addison Montgomery, Robert Cook, Tim Cole, Jimmy Gardner and Gary Fleming.
