Rev. Allen Lee Johnson

Rev. Allen Lee Johnson (85) passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at Longwood Community Living Center in Booneville. He was a veteran of the US Army. He was a Bishop at Wheeler Church of God. He enjoyed mowing, his grandchildren, watching sports, reading the Bible, listening to preaching, cooking and boxing with the Golden Gloves in the military.

Services are 2 pm Friday, November 17, 2023 in the Baldwyn Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home with Rev. James Strange and Bro. Kevin Balius officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will be 12-2 pm Friday, November 17, 2023 in the Baldwyn Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home.

Rev. Allen is survived by his sons, Bruce Johnson (Penny) of Tupelo and Matthew Johnson (Jennie) of Booneville; his daughter, Amelia Johnson of Booneville; his brother, Ralph Johnson of California; his sister, Sharon Hewitt of Colorado; his grandchildren, Joshua Johnson (Heather), Ashton Johnson (Brianna), Carter Johnson (Katelynn), Jon-Luke Johnson, Emma Grace Hester (Wesley) and Zach Johnson; and his great-grandchildren, Charlie and River Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jo Johnson; his parents, Walter and Ruth Johnson; and his sister, Arlene McKim.

Pallbearers are Ashton Johnson, Joshua Johnson, Carter Johnson, Jon-Luke Johnson, Zach Johnson, Wesley Hester and TK Balius.
