Randy Lee Jacobs (72) took his last breathe on this side of heaven at home with his family on Saturday, June 22, 2024. He was the song leader, Sunday school teacher, deacon, and a founding member of Midway Free Will Baptist Church in Marietta, MS.
His hobbies were golf, bowling, spending time with his family, singing praises, and telling others about God. He attended school at both Rienzi and Pisgah, but finished in the Class of 1970 at Kossuth. He worked at FMC and Homeland Vinyl.
Services are 2 pm Thursday, June 27, 2024 at Midway Free Will Baptist Church (292 cr 4101 Marietta, MS) with Bro. Jack Whitley, Jr., Bro. Jerry Hooper and Bro. Danny Short officiating. Visitation will be 12-2 pm Thursday at the church.
Randy is survived by his wife of 24 years, Glenda Johnson Jacobs; his children, Cathy McKinney Riddle (Glenn), Randy Shannon Jacobs, James Nathan McKinney and Ralph Spencer Jacobs (Cassandra); his siblings, Bill Jacobs (Jane), Roger Jacobs (Pat), Cecil Jacobs (Jewel), Helen Green (Mike) and Glenda Galbreath; his sister-in-law, Brenda Jacobs and his grandchildren, Blake Kelly, Aaron Coleman-Feldman, Austin Dodson, Selena Riddle, Carson McKinney, Shelbie Jacobs, Cashtin Dodson, Sylas Jacobs, Saxton Jacobs, Hayzen Dodson, Bailey Dodson and Pyper Jacobs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Lottie Potts Jacobs; the mother of his children, Joy Kennedy; his second wife, Loraine Basden Jacobs; his daughter, Tracy Lynn Jacobs and his brothers, Jesse Jacobs, Donnie Jacobs and George Jacobs.
Honorary pallbearers are Jim Hunter, Gerald Johnson, Harold Johnson, Mike Harbin, Randy Crabb and Wayne Aldridge.
