Patrick "Pat" Kent Scott

Patrick "Pat" Kent Scott (52) passed away Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. He was employed as a sawyer at D&T Sawmill. He was born in Tupelo on February 4, 1972, to the late James Freddie Scott and Marjorie Elaine Rowland Scott. He enjoyed hunting with his sons and his brother and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of Oakhill Baptist Church.

Services are 1 pm Friday, March 8, 2024 in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home with Bro. Brad Ball officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakhill Cemetery. Visitation will be 11-1 Friday in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home.

Pat is survived by his wife of 30 years, Jeanne Chaffin Scott of Booneville; his sons, Jacob Scott, Sam Scott (Emily) and Timothy Scott all of Booneville; his granddaughter, Everly Scott of Booneville; his brother, Chris Scott (Kara) of Booneville; his sisters-in-law, Sherry DeVaughn (Teddy) of Marietta and Cathy Sanderson (Shane) of New Albany; 9 nieces and nephews and 2 great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his mother-in-law, Neva T. Chaffin and his niece, Holly DeVaughn.

Pallbearers are Gary Coats, Terry Owens, Tommy Owens, Jerry Rowland, Kevin Rowland and Kenneth Scott.
