Nellie Ruth Prather

Nellie Ruth Prather (89) passed away Sunday, June 22, 2025. She was a member of Greater Vision Church in Saltillo. She enjoyed gardening, tending her flowers, cooking and spending time with her family.

Services are 11 am Wednesday, June 25, 2025 in the Baldwyn Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home with her son, Bro. Walter Prather officiating. Burial will follow in the Rutland Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Tuesday, June 24, 2025 in the Baldwyn Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home.

Nellie Ruth is survived by her husband of 69 years, Walter Prather, Sr. of Baldwyn; her sons, Walter Prather (Freda) of Baldwyn, Mark Prather of Baldwyn, Ronnie Prather (Patricia) of Guntown and Michael Prather of Baldwyn; her daughter, Cathey Miller (William) of Baldwyn and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clovis & Hattie Bishop; her brother, JC Bishop and her sisters, Jessie White and Peggy Cooper.
