Melba Geno Obituary

Melba Jean Geno (88) passed away Friday May 3, 2024 at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth. She was a member of Crossroads Church. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, and watching the St. Louis Cardinals and Memphis Grizzlies. She loved Elvis and cooking for her family. She was a great cook.

Services are 1 pm Monday, May 6, 2024 at the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home with Bro. Cody Stephens and Kermit Keenum officiating. Burial will follow in Crossroads Cemetery in Jumpertown. Visitation will be 11 am to 1 pm Monday, May 6, 2024 at the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home.

Melba ia survived by her son, Chuck Geno (Regina) of Bartlett, TN; her daughter, Darlene Hurt (Buddy) of Jumpertown; her brother, Doug Crowder (Melba) of Moulton, AL; her sisters, Frances Lancaster of Corinth, Katherine Coley of Warm Springs, AR, Joyce Fishel of Miami, FL; her grandchildren, Cory Hurt of Jumpertown, Ashley Hurt of Jumpertown, Wendy Ainsworth (John) of Dorsey, Charles Spencer Geno (Alex Welch) of Memphis; her great-grandchildren, Micaela Stevens, Abbi Ainsworth, Keylen Hurt, Madi Ainsworth and Kaynen Vuncannon; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Max L. "Satch" Geno; her parents, Arthur and Etta Crowder; her brother, Buddy Crowder and her sister, Yvonne Matlock.

Pallbearers are Spencer Geno, Cory Hurt, John Ainsworth, Trent Huddleston and Steve Huddleston.
