Max Whitehead

Max Whitehead (76) passed away Friday, April 25, 2025 at the VA Hospital in Nashville, TN. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of Woodmont Baptist Church. He enjoyed reading his bible, eating good meals, laughing with others and spending time with his family and friends. He loved watching tv, especially crime shows, the evening news and Survivor.

A Celebration of Life service with military honors will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 1 pm at Mt. Nebo Church with Bro. Lyle Whitehead officiating. Visitation will be 12-1 Saturday at Mt. Nebo Church.

Max is survived by his son, Chris Whitehead (Jamie) of Myrtle; his daughter, Jennifer Rogers (David) of Blue Mountain; his brother, Harold Whitehead of New Site; his sisters, Geraldine Bearden (Roy) of New Site and Jane Pike of Nashville; his grandchildren, Oliver & Calvin James Whitehead and Abby & Hayden Lenard and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elzie & Ellie Whitehead; his brother, Bob Whitehead and his sister, Rose.
