Matthew "Matt" Michael

Matthew "Matt" Michael (42) passed away Saturday, October 30, 2021. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He thoroughly enjoyed hunting, fishing, running his dogs, going to church and spending time with his family. He also had a passion that he shared with Kinsey and Donnie for old square body Chevrolets. Matt was a Deacon and faithful member of Piney Grove Baptist Church.

Services are 1 pm Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Piney Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Allan Casteel officiating. Burial will follow in the Piney Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Friday, November 5, 2021 at Piney Grove Baptist Church.

Matt is survived by his loving wife of 12 years, Betty Michael of Rienzi; his sons, Ethan Michael of New York and Elijah Michael of Rienzi; his daughters, Kimberly Lynn Michael and Kinsey Jade Lambert of Rienzi; his brothers, Timmy Michael (Heather) of Booneville and Joe Michael of Corinth; his sister, Teresa Foreman of Rienzi; his parents, Jr. and Molly Michael of Rienzi; his mothers-in-law, Betty Rinehart and Becky Lambert; his special grand-dog, Biscuit and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his special cousin, Robby Michael and his grandparents, Cleveland and Myrtle Michael & Caril and Dwindlon Baswell.

Pallbearers are; Jarrett Johnson, Donnie Michael, Jason Bland, Landen Michael, Jordan Bland, Terry Foreman, Shawn Wommack and Robert Stivers.

Honorary pallbearers are; Ethan and Elijah Michael.
