Mary Ella (Cummings) Herring

Mary Ella Cummings Herring (70) passed away from this life on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 surrounded by the family that she loved so much.

Mary was born on May 25, 1950 at the family home in Booneville, MS to the late Clarence and Kirksey Cummings. Mary attended Jumpertown High School as a member of the Class of 1968. Mary's main love and true happiness came from her family. She was so proud of her daughter Jennifer and son JJ Herring. Her love and devotion to her family continued on to her grandchildren, Brandon, Drew, Clay and Allie Grace and great-grandchildren, Tucker, Eli and Tyler. Mary would light up bright any time any family member walked through the door including long time friend Frankie "brother" Perrigo. Mary looked forward most to the times the family would get together to have cookouts and special occasions where they all were together. If Mary loved you, you knew it without a doubt. In Mary's pastime she loved watching the news and talking politics where she would talk for hours about current events and Donald Trump. She spent her days talking on the phone with her best friend Emogene English. Mary's favorite holiday was Christmas where she loved to watch the faces of all those she loved open presents she had bought them. During her last year of life, Mary would sit in her favorite recliner watching the video picture frame of her family and every time she got a new picture she would have to show everyone.

Services are 6 pm Friday, May 7, 2021 in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home with Bro. David English and Jeff Herring officiating. Vistiation will be 3-6 pm Friday in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Pisgah Cemetery.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Herring Hoch of Booneville; her son, JJ Herring (Lorrie) of Booneville; her grandchildren, Brandon Herring (Jayme), Drew Herring, Clay Herring and Allie Grace Herring; her great-grandchildren, Tucker Herring, Eli Johnson and Tyler Johnson; her sister, Shirley Henderson (Halford); her brothers, Jerry Cummings and Roy Cummings (Ginner); her sister-in-law, Linda Cummings and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Kirksey Littrell Cummings; her siblings, Francis Essary, Billy Cummings, Jessie Cummings and Harold Cummings.

Pallbearers are; Eli Johnson, Tyler Johnson, Ashley White, Joe Gilley, JT Herring and Scotty Cummings.
