Marty (Big Daddy) Cooksey

Marty (Big Daddy) Cooksey passed away Friday March 26, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital East in Birmingham. He enjoyed spending time with his children & grandchildren, wrestling, dirt car racing and traveling.

Services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, March30, 2021 at the Hilltop Church of God with Bro. Jeff Jones and Bro. Donald McCoy officiating. Visitation will be on Monday, March 29, 2021 from 5-9 pm at Hilltop Church of God. Burial will follow in the Jacinto Cemetery.

Marty is survived by his son, Chad Dees (Clarissa) of Rienzi; his daughters, Jessica Brown (Justin) and Tiffany Carrington (Dalton) both of Burnsville; his mother, Norma Morgan (Gary) of New Site; his brother, Benny Cooksey (Sherry) of Booneville; his grandchildren, Montana Brown, Maddison Dees, Brantley Brown, Olivia Dees, Lilly Ann Carrington, Aiden Carrington and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, L Q Cooksey; his brother, Richard Burcham and his grandparents, Levi & Nellie Cooksey and Jewlis & Ida May Burcham.

Pallbearers will be; Timmy & Mike Davis, Matt Cooksey, Royce & Raylon Williams, Ricky Willis, Michael Robinson, Marty Russell & Johnny Barnes.
