Linus Eugene Hare

Linus Eugene Hare (81) passed away Friday, March 7, 2025 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. He was a member of Tuscumbia Baptist Church. He retired from Kimberly-Clark. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, camping and watching his grandchildren play sports.

Services are 4 pm Sunday, March 9, 2025 at Tuscumbia Baptist Church with Bro. Rex Bullock, Bro. Matthew Pharr and Dr. Danny Rowland officiating. Burial will follow in the Tuscumbia Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-4 pm Sunday at Tuscumbia Baptist Church.

Linus is survived by his wife of 62 years, Billie Marie Gardner Hare; his children, Monte Lambert (Don) and Kevin Hare (Marla); his sister, Nadine Dodds (Gerald); his grandchildren, Molly Fowler (Hunter), Andrew Lambert (Anna Kathryn), Katy Lyn Hare and Kurt Hare and his great grandchildren, Rhett Lambert and Rhodes Fowler.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene & Lena Mae Hare; his mother, Lois Stevens Hare; his brothers, Cebren, Raymond & Billy Hare and his infant son, Andy Eugene Hare.

Pallbearers are Kurt Hare, Andrew Lambert, Hunter Fowler, Don Lambert, Craig Pharr, Greg Dodds and Gerald Dodds.

Honorary pallbearers are the men of his Sunday School class.
