Linda Jane Burns (72) passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at her home in Booneville. She was a member of Crossroads Full Gospel Church and the Seed Sister's of the World Ladies Retreat. She enjoyed sewing, tending to her flowers, drinking coffee and spending time with her family. She loved living life.
Services are 3 pm Monday, April 21, 2025 at Crossroads Full Gospel Church with Bro. Billy Wayne Henderson and Bro. Ricky Gattis officiating. Burial will follow in the Tuscumbia Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 10am-3pm Monday at Crossroads Full Gospel Church.
Linda is survived by her children, Betty Ann Wood (Bobby) of Booneville, Balinda Moore (John) of Booneville, John Burns (Mary August) of Tishomingo and Brad Burns (Christy) of Booneville; her brothers, Jerry Shook (Barbara) of Jumpertown and Stanley Shook of Booneville; her sisters, Mary Ann Gattis of Booneville and Ruth Ticer of Cairo; her grandchildren, Matthew Norris (Emily) of Jumpertown, Blake Norris (Ashley) of Booneville, Doug Burns (Zach) of Tupelo, Peter Andrew Moore of Booneville, Coye Burns of Booneville, Gracie Burns of Tishomingo, Millicent Burns of Booneville and Alex Turbeville; her great granddaughter, Hellen Norris of Booneville; her brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, RB Burns, Virginia Burns, Dean Harris and JoAnne Burns and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman & Mildred Shook; her husband, James Hayden Burns; her brothers, James, Johnny & Gary Shook; her in-laws, William & Ruth Burns; her brothers-in-law, Stanley Burns, Billy Joe Gattis, Junior Ticer and Max L. Harris and her sisters-in-law, Pam Shook and Betty Paulette Shook.
Pallbearers are Richard Shook, Mark Shook, Lee Shook, Kevin Billiot, Dean Bearden, Matthew Willis and Jimmy Shook.
Honorary pallbearers will be her nephews.
