Larry Dillard

Larry Dillard (82) passed away Friday, July 29, 2022 at Sunshine Health Care in Pontotoc. He was a member of Gaston Baptist Church, the Scottish Rite and a 32nd Degree Mason. He was the President of the Bank of Mississippi and later retired from Tombigbee River Valley Water Management District. He enjoyed doing yard work, fishing, traveling and watching his grandchildren play sports. He was an avid Mississippi State fan.

Services are 3 pm Sunday, July 31, 2022 at Gaston Baptist Church with Bro. Marty Hurt and Bro. Jason Middleton officiating. Burial will be in the Ingomar Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-3 pm Sunday at Gaston Baptist Church.

Larry is survived by his daughter, Lisa Horn (David); his sisters, Brenda Carr and Shirley Armstrong; his grandchildren, Drew Horn (Mallory), John David Horn and Emily Brown (Steven); his great-grandchildren, Dawson, Swayze, Mary Elizabeth, Teegan, Tyson and Kensley and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Dillard; his son, Marty Dillard; his sister, Betty Miller; his parents, Earl and Lorene Dillard and his long time K9 companion, Tootsie.

Pallbearers are David Huddleston, Don Eubanks, Kevin Eubanks, Gordan Derrick, Dr. David Greenhaw, Bill Morgan, James Goddard and Raymond Entrekin.
