Lakue Evon Bingham (88) passed away Sunday, September 15, 2024 at Baldwyn Nursing Facility. She was of Baptist faith. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, talking to others, taking care of kids and tending to her animals. Her biggest passion in life was her family, especially her grandchildren.
Services are 12 pm Wednesday, September 18, 2024 in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Hatfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 11-12 Wednesday in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home.
Lakue is survived by her son, Marlon Bingham (Julie) of Saltillo; her daughter, Tammy Bingham Young (Steven) of Saltillo; her brothers, Terry Hodges (Gail) of Grenada and John Hodges of Kilmichael; her sisters, Martha Jane Riley of Water Valley, Jean Gibson of Kilmichael, Donna Merle Ward of Booneville, Charlotte Leopard (Edward) of Thomastown and Marilyn Williamson of Kilmichael; her grandchildren, Colt Bingham (Shelby), MarKrissa Thornton (David), William Catlin Bingham, Whitley Alford (Caleb), Blade Young (Elizabeth), Miles Young, Justin Coats (Melissa) and Bryson Coats (Meatta); 16 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Dalton & Edna Lee Hodges; her sisters, Faye Mathis and Louise Harrison and an infant brother.
Her grandsons and nephews will serve as her pallbearers.
