L.P. Lawson Obituary

L.P. Lawson (82) passed away Friday, July 24, 2020 at his home in Booneville. He was born on February 27, 1938, to Vance and Pearl Dodds Lawson. He retired from the grocery business, having worked at Walden's Grocery, Safeway and Kroger. He enjoyed cooking, camping, fishing, flea markets, yard sales, helping and taking care of people and her thoroughly loved his family.

Services will be 2 pm Sunday, July 26, 2020 in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Trimble officiating. Visitation will be 12-2 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Mormon Cemetery.

L.P. is survived by his son, Jimmy Lawson of Ft. Walton, FL , his daughter, Darlene Mollohan of Booneville, his stepson, Leslie Grant of Horn Lake, his step-daughter, Ramona Ferrante (Terry) of Hernando; his brother, Eugene Lawson (Ann) of Booneville; his sisters, Janet Bishop of Baldwyn, Margaret Hayes (Muncie) of Tupelo, Shelia Burcham (Benny) of Booneville and Nancy Lawson of Booneville; his brother-in-law, Bill Cole of Rienze; his sister-in-law, Nita Lawson of Booneville; his grandchildren, Brandon Lawson, Kenneth Lawson, Jesse Lawson, Kayla Lawson, Jessica Mollohan and Emily Mollohan; his step-grandchildren, Angela Jernigan, Lacy Jernigan, Gatlin Gunn, Charleston Vance, Paul Joiner (Rachel), Harley Cooper, Kacey Smith (Will) and Gracie Cooper; 22 step great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Francis Lawson; his son-in-law, Dwight Mollohan; his brothers, Billy Park, Jackie, Joe and Glen Lawson and his sisters, Bobbie Faye Thomas, Evelyn Prentiss and Peggy Cole, his parents, Vance and Pearl Lawson and his parents.

Pallbearers are; Brandon Lawson, Kenneth Lawson, Jesse Lawson, Gatlin Gunn, Charleston Vance and Tim Cole
