Juanita Jeanette Bourn

Juanita Jeannette Bourn (77) of Brandon, passed away peacefully in Wheeler, MS at the home of her beloved sister, Sharon Hill, on November 21, 2025. She was surrounded by a loving family, including her sister Martha Agee, niece Dena Love, and great-niece Haley Brooks, along with Sharon, helped her fight lymphoma for over a decade. Juanita was born January 20, 1948, to J.W. and Veda Graham in Stringer, MS, the middle and shortest spitfire of seven siblings. She graduated from Stringer Attendance Center in 1966. Soon after graduating from beauty school and getting a cosmetology license, she became a small business owner in 1980.

She was the cherished hairdresser to many at "Juanita's on the Reservoir" in Brandon, where she would always entertain with a song or a joke. An avid singer, she was part of the barbershop quartet, "The Sweet Adelines," in the 1970s and '80s. Her personality was as vibrant as her trademark bright red lipstick. The world has lost a spicy Southern belle.

She is survived by her daughter, Catherine Claire; her son-in-law, Michael; and granddaughter, Beatrix Lynch of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, along with her six siblings: Martha Agee, Johnny Graham, Kenneth Graham (Teresa), Larry Graham (Cindy), Sharon Hill and Greg Graham (Teri), and countless nieces and nephews.

Services are 4 pm Sunday, November 30, 2025 at Lakeside Presbyterian Church in Brandon, MS. (2070 Spillway Road Brandon, MS 39047.)
