Jimmie Dee Patton (79) passed away Monday, August 18, 2025 at his home in Guntown. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Saltillo High School and was elected Most Handsome in 1962. In middle school he played basketball where he claims he stills holds the crown of the best 5'7 point guard to have ever come through the school. While in high school he met and married the love of his life, Angelyn, and they shared 62 wonderful years together. He always the remembered the anniversary of their first date and celebrated it the same as their wedding anniversary.
Jimmie had a deep passion for his cattle. For the biggest part of his life he was a dairy farmer and later got into the beef cattle industry and sold insurance. He also enjoyed gardening, singing & playing his guitar, listening to Elvis and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Services are 12 pm Wednesday, August 20, 2025 in the Baldwyn Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Holland officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be 11-12 Wednesday in the Baldwyn Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home.
Jimmie is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Angelyn Bailey Patton of Guntown; his children, Mike Patton (Lois), Amy White (Todd) and Shea Patton all of Guntown; his grandchildren, Zachary Patton (Lanier), Caity McGee (Austin), Courtney Patton, Drew White, Chelsea Patton, Bethany Patton and Ruth Allison White and his great granchildren, Kingsley, Willow and Ilana.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard "Big Daddy" & Flo "Big Mama" Patton; his brother, Clyde Lane Patton; his grandson, Stephen Patton and his great granddaughter, Mackenzie McGee.
His grandchildren will serve as his pallbearers.
