Jerry Walter Thrasher Obituary

Jerry Walter Thrasher (85) of Jumpertown, MS entered into eternal rest and went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 5, 2024. He passed at Magnolia Regional Hospital in Corinth MS. He was a devoted member and served as the Chairman of the Board of Lambs Chapel Church. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was an electrician, carpenter and jack of all trades. He retired from Intex Plastic after 33 years. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, bee keeping, fishing, gardening, listening to books on tape and especially spending time with his family. He was very strong in his morals and beliefs. He left a positive impact on everyone that he met. He was a wonderful husband, father, father in law, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, mentor and friend to many.

Services are 5 pm Friday, March 8, 2024 in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home with Bro. Gene Coltharp and Bro. Teddy Cornelius officiating. Burial will be in the Jumpertown Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8 pm Thursday, March 7, 2024 in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 51 years, Glenda Thrasher; his daughters, Shelia Mullikin (James) of Pine Grove, Angela Hyde (Russ) of Jumpertown, Melissa Mask (Mike) of Pine Grove and Jeri Lynn Hyde (Jeremy) of Olive Branch; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; his sister, Martha Thornton (Harold) of Thrasher; his brother, Jimmy Thrasher (Sarah) of Saltillo and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph & Edna Thrasher; his brothers, Joe, Ray and Billy Thrasher and his sister, Sue Austin.

Pallbearers are Jon Crouch, Cade Crouch, Cody Vick, Devin Pace, Trevor Dearman, Knowledge Dearman and Zack Page.

Honorary pallbearers are Clayton Pace, Ronnie Davis, Alex Burns and Monty Jackson.

The family would like to thank all the people for the kind words and thoughtful gestures during the time of their bereavement.
