James Ray Bridges

James Ray "Sonny Boy" Bridges (54) passed away Monday, September 27, 2021 at his home in Guin, AL. He was a member of Bridge of Faith Apostolic Church. He enjoyed singing, playing his guitar, driving fast, spinning his wheels and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Services are 1 pm Thursday, September 30, 2021 in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Wayne Bridges and Bro. Scotty Downs officiating. Visitation will be 11-1 on Thursday in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Crossroads Cemetery.

James Ray is survived by his wife, Cindy Bridges of AL; his son, Derrik McDuffa of AL; his daughter, Vanna Franklin (John) of AL; his brother, John Daniel Bridges (Shelia) of Corinth; his sisters, Annette Hall (Max) of TN, Chrissy Walthers (Kenny) of Booneville and Shannon Jones (Chris) of Jumpertown; his father, Ray Bridges of Jumpertown and his mother-in-law, Betty McDuffa of AL and 8 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Faye Bridges; his grandson, Kamden Franklin; his brother, Billy Leon Bridges and his grandparents, Johnny & Cora Bridges and Clara & Herman Eaton.

Pallbearers are; Jamie Swinney, John Franklin, Travis Eaton, Dexter Johnson, Tony Bridges and Douglas Tollison.

Honorary pallbearers are; Casey Eaton, Josh Bridges, Nicky Stephens, Rick "Poppy" Nunley, CJ Greene, Raylee Norris and Hunter Norris.
