James "Pistol" Thomas

James "Pistol" Thomas (84) passed away Sunday, June 7, 2026 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church. He retired from Delta after 30+ years. He enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Services are 3 pm Tuesday, June 9, 2026 in the Baldwyn Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home with Bro. Ray Guin, Bro. Douglas Kitchens and his son, Bro. Keith Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Kirkville Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-3 pm Tuesday in the Baldwyn Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home.

Pistol is survived by his sons, Keith Thomas (Rebecca) of Pratts, Eddie Thomas (Debbie) of Saltillo and Ralph Thomas (Nancy) of Ozark; 9 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Addie Jane Thomas; his parents, Dillard & Mary Sue Thomas and his great grandson, Dalen Keith Thomas.

Pallbearers are Gary Lee Thomas, Jeremy Thomas, Gavin Ballard, Danny Thomas, Thomas Guin, Phillip Roper and Nathan Warren.

Honorary pallbearers will be the members of Northside Baptist Church.
