James Myron Burchell

James Myron "Bonecrusher" Burchell (66) passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at North Mississippi Medical Center.

Myron was a larger than life man who lived life to the fullest. He took pride in his family and helping others any chance he got. His life and service to others touched many. His passing left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by him. We ask that you not remember him for the way it ended, but rather the way he lived his life and the impact it had on those around him.

He enjoyed playing softball and basketball in his younger days and met many people that he considers family today. He took much pride in his role in the wrestling community and all the lifelong friendships he made. He owned and operated a construction business where he also made friendships that would last a lifetime. His love and heart of gold allowed him to make a huge impact on everyone he knew.

Outside of business, he enjoyed spending time with his family and extended family. He loved traveling and he loved Elvis Presley.

Those who knew him, will always remember his free spirit, his smile, and his wit. He never met a stranger and he brightened the room when he walked in.

Services are 11 am Monday, October 13, 2025 in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home with Bro. David Krech, Jimmy Blaylock and Grover Shinault officiating. Burial will follow in the Booneville Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Sunday, October 12, 2025 in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home.

Myron is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Michele Burchell; his children, Daniel Burchell (Katie) of Rienzi, Audrey Bullard (Russ) of Rienzi and Chris Downs of Corinth; his siblings, Jackie Harris (Anita) of Booneville, Jeff Burchell (Vickie) of Booneville and Jerri Inman (Mark) of Booneville; his grandchildren, Triston Downs, Evie Bullard and Jake Bullard; his in-laws, Dewayne & Carolyn Robinson of Booneville and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carrol & Edna Burchell and his brothers, Michell Burchell and Larry Harris.

Pallbearers are Hubert Coggins, Gary Wooldridge, Ronnie Kiddy, Kaden Brown, Mark Medley and Andrew Kilgo.
