J C Newby

J C Newby (65) passed away Saturday, May 31, 2025 at his home in Booneville. He was a member of The House of Prayer Bible Believing Church. He enjoyed fishing, camping, playing music, preaching the gospel, playing with his grandchildren and spending time with family.

Services will be at 2 pm Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at the The House of Prayer Church with Bro. Johnny Hamblin and Bro. Jimmy Newby officiating. Burial will follow in the Kirkville Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-9 pm Sunday, June 1, 2025, then Monday and Tuesday until service time.

Survivors include his daughter; Ashley Wooten (Chris) of Booneville, his sisters; Wanda Hill of Tishomingo, and Sandy Credille of Booneville, his brothers; Jimmy Newby (Jeanette) of Booneville and Ronnie Newby (Nancy) of Booneville, special niece and caregiver; Misty Credille, his grandchildren; Payton Burcham, Haley Eaton, Jaxxon Wooten, Cason Hogue, Ethan Hogue (Jaden), Katy Hogue and Trey Williams, his great grandson; Ryker Jase Hogue.
He was preceded in death by his wife; Wanda Newby, his parents; Lexer Dee and Nettie Marie Newby, his sister; Edith Roberts.

Pallbearers will be; Craig (Burrhead) Rogers, Chris Wooten, Lenn Blaylock, Steve Baker, Payton Burcham, Kelly Baker and Cecil Hicks.
