Geraldine "Judy" Bland (85) passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2024. She was a member of Life at Tupelo. She was the pianist at Nettleton Pentecostal Church for many years. She loved to sing, play music, sew, paint, draw and travel. She also loved raising and tending her flowers. She spent most of her married life being a housewife.
Services are 1 pm Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Orchard Church Student Ministry Chapel (900 South Thomas St. Tupelo, MS) with Bro. Larry Hill and Bro. Jonathan Soden officiating. Burial will follow in Lee Memorial Park in Verona. Visitation will be 11-1 Saturday at Orchard Church Student Ministry Chapel.
Judy is survived by her children, Rhonda Swift (Joe) of Booneville and Ronnie Hill (Paula) of Spring Hill, TN; her step-children, Gennie Adams of Tupelo, Roger Bland (Martha) of Tupelo and Ginger Bland of Tupelo; her brother, Donald Mills (Peggy) of Hatley; her sister, Margie Hill (Coy) of Amory; her grandchildren, Cynthia Colburn (Randy), Jonathan Soden (Crystal), Brittany Reeves (Josh), Katie Hill, Colton Ashcraft, Amber Swords, Joe Swift III (Tiffany) and Miranda Szabo (Mike); her step-grandchildren, Shannon Morris (Keith), Stacey Carter (Ray), Kelly Crawley (Justin), Andrew Bland (Jaime) and Patrick Bland (Kenzie) and a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin "Bo" Bland; her parents, Millard & Syble Mills; her sisters, Eldred Jones & Ruby Dickerson and her brother, Charles Mills.
Pallbearers are Hunter Colburn, Tylor Colburn, Taylor Colburn, Austin Watson, Cameron Watson, Caden Soden, Noah Soden and Colton Ashcraft.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Life at Tupelo or the Booneville First United Pentecostal Church.
