George Ed Houston, Sr.

George Ed Houston, Sr. (86) passed away Monday, January 22, 2024 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. He was a member of the National Guard and a member of First Baptist Church of Booneville. He enjoyed camping, boating, working, go cart racing with his grandchildren and watching NASCAR. He was a big Dale Earnhardt fan and also a Roy Rogers fan.

Services are 2 pm Friday, January 26, 2024 in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home with Bro. Ray Hall and Bro. Sonny Knight officiating. Burial will be in the Booneville Cemetery. Visitation will be 12-2 pm Friday in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home.

George is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ozie Johnson Houston; his son, Eddie Houston (Theresa Tomek) of Virginia; his daughter, Amy Pharr (Tony) of Booneville; his brother, Jerry Houston (Christi) of Booneville; his nephew, Benjie Houston (Tina) of Booneville; his grandchildren, Seth & Claire Houston and TJ, Levi & Gracemarie Pharr and his great-grandchildren, Lilly, Tripp, Cooper, Houston and Elle Pharr.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lex & Marie Houston and his son, Jason Houston.

Pallbearers are Jerry Houston, Levi Pharr, TJ Pharr, Peyton Houston, Seth Houston, Knox Houston and Roy Gray.

Honorary pallbearers are Tripp Pharr, Houston Pharr and Cooper Pharr.
