George White

George White (83) passed away Sunday, May 28, 2023 at the Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. He was a Deacon at Camp Creek Baptist Church. He was also the Sunday School Superintendent and an usher. He enjoyed crappie fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

Services are 2 pm Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at Camp Creek Baptist Church with Bro. Chad Higgins and Bro. Wayne Frederick officiating. Burial will follow in the Camp Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be 12-2 pm Wednesday at Camp Creek Baptist Church.

George is survived by his wife of 62 years, Elaine Haygood White of Blue Springs; his sons, Calvin White (Joyce) of New Albany and Todd White (Amy) of Guntown; his sister, Martha Ellen Bailey of Blue Springs; his grandchildren, Andrew, Matthew, Joshua, Ruth Allison and Mary Margaret White and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus Calvin & Omie Wade White; his sister, Marjorie Langley and his brothers, Charlie, Tommy and Bobo White.

Pallbearers will be the Deacons of Camp Creek Baptist Church.
