A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at 1 pm in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home with Brother Dewayne Morgan officiating. Visitation will be 11-1 pm Wednesday in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home. Garry left this world on Christmas morning holding hands with the love of his life of 58 years, Carolyn Lambert. Friends and family are comforted in knowing that he is riding those pearly streets with the best view from his motorcycle.
Garry Lee Lambert (74) was born on July 16, 1949 to Dexter and Loree Lambert; he was number two in their family of six children. He worked numerous jobs throughout his life in which he formed many friendships because he never met a stranger. He worked for Heartland and ended his career at Lambert Auto Salvage; he would have worked until his very last breath if it were up to him. Garry married the love of his life on January 15, 1965. Together they have two children: Bobby Dean Lambert (Robbie) & Michelle Poole (Clint) and granddaughter that they raised like a daughter, Brittany Brock (Brady).
Garry will be remembered by his love of motorcycles, NASCAR, his ranger full of great-grandchildren, and his love for traveling to the mountains.
Garry is survived by his wife, Carolyn. His children, Bobby Dean Lambert (Robbie) of Thrasher & Michelle Poole (Clint) of Laurel, MS. Two sisters; Sherry Moore & Judy Owen; & one brother; Roger Lambert.
His five grandchildren; Brittany Brock (Brady) of New Albany; Steven Lambert (Whitney) of Huntsville, AL; AJ Lambert (Kristin) of Marietta; Lindsie Allen (Jamison) of Biggersville; and Shelbie Barnes (Donovan) of Philadelphia.
His fourteen great grandchildren; Kegen Clark (a very special great grandson), Hadley & E.J. Allen of Biggersville; Betsy & Beck Brock of New Albany; Blakely, Maxton & Gracley Barnes of Philadelphia; Archer Lambert of Huntsville, AL.; Rilyn, Eva Kate, Gracelyn, Mila & Harper Lambert of Marietta.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Dwight Lambert; his sister, Rita Story; his brothers-in-law, Larry Moore and Travis Story and a special motorcycle buddy, Larry George.
Honorary pallbearers are his grandsons & great grandsons, Brady Brock, Jamison Allen & Donavan Barnes.
The family would like to thank Dr. Stone & Dr. Shafer, the nursing staff on the 2nd floor and NMMC & the ladies at Faith Family Clinic.
Garry will be laid to rest at Tuscumbia Baptist Church Cemetery.
