Emma Yvonne Shook

Emma Yvonne Shook (83) passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at her home in Baldwyn. She worked in the cafeteria at Wheeler School, where she thoroughly enjoyed helping the children. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, coloring, playing word puzzles and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Services are 2 pm Friday, November 7, 2025 in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Coggins officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 12-2 pm Friday in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home.

Emma is survived by her children, Rachel Pendergraph, Cindy Parker, Walisa Jeffries (Jimmy Joyner), Gilbert Shook (Georgette), Sarah Jenkins (Robert), Linda Bearden, Michael Bearden (Samantha) and Susan Shook; her sister, Mary Woodruff; 17 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James & Lola Pendergraph; her husband, Rois Shook; her brothers, Loyce, Wayne and James; her sisters, Betty and Shirley; her sons-in-law, James and Pepper and her brother-in-law, Dale Woodruff.

Pallbearers are Jacob Bearden, Cannon Wheatley, Brandon Shook, Austin Pace, William Reid and Nicholas Bearden.
