Elton L. "Punk" Johnson

Elton L. "Punk" Johnson (86) passed away Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Sunshine Health Care in Pontotoc. He was a retired truck driver. He enjoyed music, singing and having a good southern meal with his family.

Services are 2 pm Saturday, January 30, 2021 in the Baldwyn Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home with Bro. Toby Mears and Bro. James Strange officiating. Visitation will be from 12-2 pm Saturday at the funeral home.

Elton is survived by his daughters, Jeanice Spain Pounders (Mitchell) of Booneville, Connie Barnes (Randy) of Nettleton and Michelle Kelly of St. Louis; his brothers, Andy Johnson (Sue) of Wisconsin and Gerald Johnson (Doris) of Baldwyn; his sister, Juanita Gamble (Arthur) of GA; his grandchildren, Jennifer Williams (Troy) of Birmingham, Jessica Taylor (Justin) of Booneville, Hunter McKee of St. Louis, Brad Barnes (Kaitlin) of Dry Creek, Courtney Barnes of Dry Creek and Jeff Barnes of Nettleton and 8 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jewel Johnson and his grandson, William Guy Spain.

Pallbearers are; Hunter McKee, Brad Barnes, Jeff Barnes, Tripp Barnes and Tryce Barnes.
