Elizabeth L. Braddock (84) went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 23, 2024. She was born at home in Poordo, IL on September 30, 1939 to the late Violet and Chester Richey, but lived most of her life in Tupelo, MS. She was a faithful member of Lakeview Baptist Church where she shared her musical gift on the piano.
Liz, as she was affectionately known by most, lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed her Hardees breakfast crew, playing bingo, going to auctions and spending time with her friends and family. She never met a stranger.
Services are 3 pm Friday, April 26, 2024 in the Baldwyn Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Bishop and Bro. Rob Garland officiating. Visitation will be 1-3 pm Friday in the Baldwyn Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 2 pm Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Poordo, IL with Bro. Jack Mocaby officiating.
Liz is survived by her son, John Mocaby (Gina) of Marion, IL; her brother, Don Richey (Peggy) of Poordo, IL; her sister, Carolyn Mocaby (William) of Poordo, IL; her grandchildren, Josh, Ashley (Sterlin), Robert (Paige), Samantha (Kody), Amy, Lindsey (Jesse), Kynndal and Summer and 9 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Mark Mocaby and her grandson, Luke Bradley.
Pallbearers are Tony Mocaby, Josh Mocaby, Darwin Richey, Sterlin Trolinger, Trevor Jolly and Kody Owens.
The family would like to thank her nurse, Erin Sauceda and the staff at Homecare Hospice; her nurses, Shannon & Eran & the administrator, Jennifer at Rosewood along with the entire staff there for loving her and giving her the best care.
