Edward Gene Davis

Edward Gene Davis (86) passed away Thursday, November 6, 2025 at his home in Jumpertown. He was a mechanic and farmer for many years. He enjoyed watching & playing sports, coon hunting, tending to his horses, cattle & chickens, working & driving his racecars and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Graveside services are 2 pm Monday, November 10, 2025 at Pisgah Community Cemetery.

Gene is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Dorothy Nell Wardlow Davis; his sons, Eddy Davis (Tracey) and Chris Davis (Shanii); his grandchildren, Jamieson Putnam (Matthew), Grant Davis (Jessica), Logan Davis, Brooke Davis (Richard), Kaleb Robinson (Hope), Cameron Davis, Sage Davis and Price Davis; his great grandchildren, Jadyn Lindsey, McClane Lindsey, Mylee Davis, Adysen Davis, Slayte Davis, John Thomas Putnam, Eleanor Davis, Steveigh-Jean Wardlow Putnam, Kolson Robinson, Stetson Armstrong, Ryker Armstrong, Maverick Armstrong and Evie Robinson; his sister, Gladys "Jodie" Crowe and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim & Wilma Davis; his brothers, Jr. Davis, Taylor Davis, Garvin Davis and Ellis Davis; his son, Terry Dean Davis; his great grandchild, Alex Leigh Davis and his in-laws, Jimmy & Sybil Wardlow.

Pallbearers are Grant Davis, Logan Davis, Cameron Davis, McClane Lindsey, Slayte Davis, John Thomas Putnam, Matthew Putnam and Ronnie Hickman.
