Dorothy Faye Cummings

Dorothy Faye Cummings (90) passed away Thursday, October 17, 2024 at her home in Booneville. She attended Tuscumbia Baptist Church. She loved reading her Bible daily, listening to gospel & bluegrass music, cooking, collecting clocks, watching birds, taking care of her cat, Jack and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was able to babysit many kids in the county at her home.

Services are 3 pm Sunday, October 20, 2024 at Tuscumbia Baptist Church with Bro. Rex Bullock and Bro. Dale Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Booneville Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Saturday, October 19, 2024 in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home.

Dorothy is survived by her sons, Timothy Michael Cummings (Peggy) of Booneville and Tony Lamar Cummings (Melissa) of Booneville; her daughter, Linda Kathryn Berryman (Billy) of Booneville; her brother, Jerry Fugitt of Booneville; her sisters, Johnnie Mae Hall of AL and Jean Wyvonne Fugitt of Booneville; her grandchildren, Jennifer Hicks (Sam), Leslie Barnes (Jason), Jordan Berryman (Dallas), Amber Elise Hargett, Michael Anthony Cummings (Leslie), Allie Fayth Caveness (Eddie) and Jonathan Cummings; 16 great grandchildren and 5 great great granchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Bob Cummings; her son, William Steve Cummings; her granddaughter, Amy Nichols; her brother, James Fugitt and her parents, John & Ora Fugitt.

Pallbearers are Jerry Armstrong, Eddie Caveness, Calvin Hibbard and Tim Hargett.
