Donald Ray Dawson

Donald Ray Dawson (76) passed away Friday, June 2, 2023 at his home in Booneville. He was a member of the Booneville Church of Christ. He loved gardening, working in the kitchen next to his wife and going to church. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Services are 12 pm Monday, June 5, 2023 in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Estes and Bro. Joe Garrett officiating. Burial will follow in the Magnolia Gardens. Visitation will be 10-12 Monday in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home.

Donald is survived by his wife of 51 years, Brenda Kay Dawson of Booneville; his son, David Russell (Donna) of Booneville; his daughter-in-law, Marsha Dawson of Booneville; his sister, Ruby Moore (Ronnie) of Baldwyn; his grandchildren, Bo Russell (Tonya), Jacob Dawson and Ty Dawson; his great-grandchildren, Ben Russell, Lydia Dawson, Daniel Dawson and Dani Dawson and a host of other family and his wonderful church family.

He was preceded in death by his son, Danny Dawson; his mother, Alma Dawson; his brother, Mickey Dawson and his in-laws, Ralph and Aurola Harris.

Pallbearers are Bo Russell, Ty Dawson, Robby Smith, Randy Smith, Colton Harris and Heath Harris.
