Donald Wayne Hurt

Donald Wayne Hurt (72) passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was a member of Crossroads Methodist Church, and the domino parlor in Booneville. He enjoyed playing golf, riding horses, bird hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Memorial services will be 2 pm Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at Crossroads Methodist Church in Jumpertown. Visitation will be 12-2 pm Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at Crossroads Methodist Church in Jumpertown.

Donald is survived by his wife of 48 years, Darlene Geno Hurt; his son, Cory Hurt (Candida) of Jumpertown; his daughter, Ashley Hurt of Jumpertown; his brother, Justin Hurt of Tampa, FL; his sister, Jean Berryhill of Cordova, TN; his brother-in-law, Chuck Geno (Regina) of Bartlett, TN; his grandchildren, Keylen Hurt, Kaynen Vuncannon, Micaela Bascomb (Corey), Fiona Ross, Bella Hancock and Annistyn Hancock; and his great-grandchild, Adelynn Elise Bascomb.

He was preceded in death by his parents, JC and Marie Hurt; his brother, Leland O'Neil Hurt; his sister, Diane Johnson and his in-laws, Max “Satch” and Jean Geno.
