Danny Thomas Whitley

Danny Thomas Whitley (70) passed away Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN. He was a veteran of the Army National Guard and a member of Mt. Pisgah Freewill Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR, riding his side-by-side and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Services are 12 pm Wednesday, August 9, 2023 in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Hankins and Bro. Jack Whitley officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Tuesday, August 8, 2023 and 10-12 Wednesday in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home.

Danny is survived by his wife of 35 years, Alice Whitley of Booneville; his son, Jeremy Whitley of Booneville; his daughter, Kelley Penney (Terry) of Booneville; his brother, Davey Whitley (Jan) of Booneville; his sister, Kim Bingham of Booneville; his grandchildren, Ava Brooke Carter and Ivy Quinn Penney and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tommy and Louise Whitley; his brother, Gary Mike Whitley and his brother-in-law, Tommy Gentry.
