Daisy Setty Miles

Daisy Setty Miles (77) passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at Regional One Health Center in Memphis, TN. She was born November 26, 1946 in Browns County, Ohio, to the late Charles and Gladys Setty. She was a faithful member of Canaan Assembly of God. She was always active in the community. She had a deep passion for reading her Bible and witnessing to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved cooking Sunday lunches for her family.

On June 4, 1977, Daisy married the love of her life, Thomas Earl Miles. They were married for 38 years until his passing in 2015.

Daisy worked at ITT in Corinth, MS for 6 years and then opened a store called Mission Outreach in Booneville. Through the store, they were able to give clothes to people and blessed the little children at Christmas for 21 years.

Services are 12 pm Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Canaan Assembly of God in Booneville with Josh Christian and Victor Hoedemaker officiating. Burial will follow in the Piney Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 10-12 Thursday at Canaan Assembly of God.

Daisy is survived by her children, Myra Holder (Sammy) of Eggville, Larry Hughes (Lisa) of Booneville, Michael Miles (Frances Coker) of Mooreville, Pam Wiginton (Mitchell) of Baldwyn, Greg Hughes (Kerrie) of Cape Cora, FL and Stephanie Lockey (Michael) of Booneville; her grandchildren, Scott Emison (Mallory, Kyle Emison (Jessica), Jonathan Hughes (Jessica), Josh Hughes (Emilee), Brittany Reese (Chance), Jeremy Wiginton (Amy), Jacob Wiginton (Nicole), LeAnna Edge (Cody), Justin Wiginton, Adam Hughes (Madison) and Kaila Doyle (Daniel); her great-grandchildren, Reed (Lydia), Miles, Luke, Clayton, Willow, Colt, Dawson, Bryson, Ethan, Zane, Axton, Amelia, Cadence, Eli, Noah, Mason, Kaylee, Braxton, Thomas, Isa, Gwendolyn, Finley, Lottie and Grady and her special nephew, Raymond Setty of OH.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Daisy was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles and Billy Setty and her sisters, Elizabeth Nezbit and Josephine Harper.

Pallbearers are Scott Emison, Kyle Emison, Jonathan Hughes, Josh Hughes, Jeremy Wiginton, Jacob Wiginton and Cody Edge.
